1970-2022
Eric and I met in 1998 and were married in 2000. At the end of July 2021, during the Covid pandemic, Eric was admitted to the hospital and ultimately diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. At the time we had three sons under the age of 18.
Eric ultimately lost his life to cancer in March of 2022. I can't say it was a battle, because with Stage IV, there really is no hope of winning. But over the 8 months that Eric sought treatment and lived, there where a great many things that I learned, researched and many that I shared with friends and family. I believe that is my calling in all of this horror, to share what I have learned. To give to you and everyone our experiences, good, bad and ugly, in the hopes that it can help you through the horrible ordeal of a terminal illness. And the encourage you to "Live Out Our Best Life", no matter how much is left.
I am an entrepreneur at heart. I love my sons and still very much love my husband. I miss him everyday!
What I am not is a therapist! I don't pretend to have all the right answers for you and your situation. Every situation for each person is different. I can only give you the facts as I know them and share my personal experiences and our journey with you.
There is no getting over it, only traveling the journey with all that that entails.
